Accounts Receivable Register

The Accounts Receivable Register report allows you to identify any errors before posting AR transactions or provides you with a permanent record of the transactions posted.

Permissions Required for this Report

In the staff profile, staff must be assigned to a security group that is granted View functional rights for the following:

  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Shared Library > Shared Views
  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Firm Library > Custom
  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Firm Library > Standard > Firm
  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Firm Library > Standard > Practice
  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Firm Library > <report name>
  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Administration Manager > Client Manager > Approved Clients

Reports in Foundation that are Comparable

In Practice Management, the comparable report is AR Register. In Practice Advantage, the comparable report is Payments and Adjustments.

Report Fields

The following fields are available for this report. The fields that display and the position of fields are based on the report's settings, grouping, sorting, and filters.

Field Description

Deposit Date

The deposit/transaction date of the reported record.

Client Name

The client name.

Client ID

The client ID and sub ID (Client ID.Sub ID).

Staff

The name of the staff that entered the transaction.

Type

The transaction type. Type values can be Credit Adjustment, Credit Memo, Debit Adjustment, Debit Memo, Finance Charge, GST Write-off, Handling Fee, Miscellaneous Charge, Payment, or Write-off.

Check/Ref #

The reference number for the transaction.

Applied to

The document number of the original transaction that the amount has been applied to. This report field shows 0 if the amount has not been applied.

Amount

The amount of the transaction that was applied to the invoice principal.

Sales Tax

The amount of the transaction that was applied to the sales tax for the referenced record.

Charges

The amount of the transaction that was applied to the misc. charge, handling fee, or finance charge for the referenced record.

Total

The total of applied amounts from Amount, Sales Tax, and Charges.
